  CABBAGE

Gregorian offers growers, packer/shippers, and processors hybrid seed that has been virtually free from inbreds in pilot productions. This green, medium-frame cabbage from Syngenta/ROGERS takes advantage of Cytoplasmic Male Sterility (CMS), a breeding process that nearly eliminates the risk of self pollination due to a break down in the self incompatibility. This reduction/elimination of unmarketable “inbred” heads can result in higher yields. Gregorian produces a uniform product that combines early maturity and tolerance to environmental stresses with good field holding and dependability.

The perfect answer for Northeast U.S. and Canada’s white cabbage needs, Syngenta/ROGERS’® Quisor has been shown to offer excellent uniformity with a nice circular head shape, excellent blue-green leaf color and high resistance to Fusarium.  Quisor is a 90-day fresh market type that has shown superb field uniformity sure to catch a grower’s eye.  It also features 3-5 lbs size heads. Quisor can bring it all home -  uniformity, yield and high quality.

Pennant features a medium frame and blue-green wrapper leaves for the fresh market. Noted for its wide adaptation, Pennant’s holding ability helps maximize its profit potential. This cabbage offers an excellent interior quality and flavor, and is a popular choice for growers in Texas and throughout the US.

Escazu provides growers with good head quality, an average head size of 7 – 8 inches, and crack resistance. This new hybrid for Mexico and Central America also provides high resistance to Fusarium yellows race 1.
